    Champion 26" Radiator Review

Memike are running the new style water pump or the early style? I found this rad which is specific to early A. I think the 22 inch rad for 66 back cars is the way to go. If I try to compare the 26 rad in the demon I think it would hit the battery tray and it's taller. CC64DT Click to...

Why is there oil on my floorboard?

Some of the old after market oil pressure gauges had a small clear line running from the oil sender to a gauge pod inside the car. These were usually mounted under the dash. If you have one of these the line could be leaking inside the car.

    Help with radiator

What is weird is most of your cooling problem is at idle. Why can the rad keep the motor cool when you are driving? It will be interesting to see if a new rad helps. I wonder if you have engine compression leaking into the cooling system. The thing is why is it worse at idle, have you though of...

    Help with radiator

Try another 160 thermostat. I think I've had a a couple of bad ones over the years. Do you have a lazar heat gun that can show you if the rad is actually cooling ok, are some of the tubes plugged from the factory. Use the heat gun and make sure there is no HOT spots on the rad, where a tube is...

Post '70 water pump in Pre '70 car

I think the old water pumps are cast iron and the new ones are aluminium. You will also need a new timing chain cover for the newer style pump. Your timing mark on the balancer will need to be remade, and of course the new rad, which you will have. You may need new bolts as they may be different...

    Zirco fan switch

I think the reason they tell you that is because it would be the first spot to get hot when the thermostat opens. I think if you put it on the rad close to where the hot coolant would hit the rad when the thermostat opens it would be ok. Mine is on the rad on my Duster, I put it right below...

    65 Barracuda radiator

I bought a dual core (4 core equivalent) universal rad for my 65. It is similar to the Summit rad, around $180.00. The thing is that the early A's have a small opening for the rad. The other you need to know is what style of water pump are you going to run, as this will determine what side the...
