I think it is the opposite. At least it was for my 63. I did 60" (I forget the exact length) in the back and the same in the front, but I wish I had done the longer in the front. The front belts mounted on the floor further back than I thought. I will try to check my 68 valiant which has...

I also got mine at seatbeltsplus.com cheap, good color choices, chrome buckles are nice. the belt itself seems thinner than the factory belts on my 68 Valiant but mine is just a driver.
