I had the same problem on my Duster. What i did to fix it was unstop the drains. I took a coat hander and ran it through the drain holes in the cowl area. Shoulda seen all the crap that was built up in there, probly took 2 hours or so of fishing all the leaves and trash out, then i blew it out...

I put one on my 73 duster,bought it from AAR in florida,good quality piece,there a bit slow but i have no complaints,it looks great.

THe scoop came with the studs in it already,we just measured everything to the center and came 2 inches from the back of the hood dabbed some greese on all of the studs, put it on our 2 pencil marks for the front and rear center studs, set it down picked it up and went to drilling.

Ya this is the first time i bought anything from AAR but like you said the quality is great,the stripes came from PhoenixGraphix.

finally got my scoop in from AAR for my duster and went ahead and put the side stripes on it also,still debating on weather or not to get the tail stripes or just putting the tornado swirl on the back.

Having a problem with this guys seems like i'm missing something any of you ever installed one, if so lets hear it.Is there sposed to be a locking strip on a 73 duster?
