Thanks. I feel really fortunate that I was able to pick it up from Cosgig (Geof), especially for what I gave for it. Hagerty Insurance put a guaranteed $15k value on it if it was to be totaled. I thought it was too much, but for only an extra $30/year, I'm not going to argue. :)

Looks a lot like mine with the only exception being that it's a formula S and has been restored. It's probably worth the money, but I think it's a bit much.

Not gonna sugarcoat it for you...it's missing a lot of parts to be a project car, but you'll probably be able to get the most for it by parting it out and whatever doesn't sell could go to the scrap yard. Just an alternative idea to selling it whole.

Why do you say that? I understand that there are differences in model years etc that give things away, but I am unaware of what they would be in a barracuda.

I'd rather give that guy the $16,500 he's asking than all the people asking $7-15000 for rollers that still need paint, trim and everything else in my area. They advertise them as 90% of bodywork complete.

Do you have the build sheet or any of the original documentation?

You should see if there is a FABO member who lives close to the vehicle who can "check" it out for you. If they tell you it is a good vehicle with proper repairs/restorations done to it, spend the money to fly to the vehicle and check it out. This is common sense for your financial safety...

I can do the same thing with a telephone number, full name, or any number of other things. I just didn't know if there was something sinister like getting a replacement title in their name or something.... Besides, I welcome someone dumb enough to come to my home with malevolent or malicious...
