I used it on a full size starter with headers and it solved my heat soak problem. Switch to a mini starter and still use it just to be safe.

Did mine just in front of the axle. Sounds good and not too loud inside the car. Kind of like the way they sound when they go out at the back bumper, obviously louder to those behind you at the stop lights and such.

Check your local muffler shops. Might not be as expensive as you think. I bought some Thrush turbos on closeout off amazon and the local shop installed them for $150.00 for a 3 inch system from the headers back.

Had the same problem. Tried new gaskets... blew out. Tried double gaskets...blewout. ordered the Remflex and haven't had anymore leaks!
