    Heater core test ?

When I bought my duster, it had a slant six in it with the heater core bypassed When I swapped out the slanty for a 360 I didn't bother hooking the heater core up, figuring the reason it was bypassed is because it is leaking But it's been a few years now and I'm thinking...I would like to...

    stuck thermostat?

under normal circumstances, i suppose you are correct, but in this particular case there was no space for air to either escape or sneak in i dont know why, but when i pried the thermostat off i could feel it sucking in air swells up like a river in the springs, it was moving real nice, with a...

    stuck thermostat?

Not much of a test, but with the upper hose off and the belt off I can hear the impeller sloshing around as I move the water pump pulley This is with the belt back on , sure seems to be flow in the coolant For now I put it back without a thermostat I should have time for a good shakedown...

    stuck thermostat?

The cap was off, so yes, open to atmosphere When I squish the bottom hose I can hear the coolant move in and out of the engine (I can hear it sloshing through the thermostat housing I put in the radiator 6,7 years ago when I swapped in the 360

    stuck thermostat?

When this happened the upper hose was off, that'd why I thought it was so strange You'd think it would have a bleed hole to allow for expansion and contraction as it heat cycles

    stuck thermostat?

Looks like I can rule out the thermostat One interesting tidbit though, when I pried off the thermostat (after removing the upper radiator hose) I could hear it sucking in air, showing me there was a vacuum underneath the thermostat Isn't there usually a bleed hole in those things ? For...

Just make sure the fan matches I think you may be able to get by with running a smaller fan...but not a bigger one

Is there a low profile water pump for a 360?

since the mount is not centered in the bracket, i betcha you could spin the bracket around and match the messed up motor mounts not that i expect you would be able to get the OP to look at that, but that is neither here nor there

Is there a low profile water pump for a 360?

like i asked you in your other post...do you have 3.5 inches between the front of the pulley and the face of the radiator? because, if you do, you can get the jaguar clutch on there and be done

What Radiator, Shroud and electric fan should I use for my 360?

This is my duster 71 body, aftermarket radiator, 360 block and I believe a jaguar clutch I have 3.5 in he's from the nose of the pulley to the radiator, and a fat inch from the front of the fan to the radiator You don't have 3.5 inches?
