I have that exact carb on my 1973 Dart Sport 340 . It has the original 340 engine with a stock rebuild. My Street Demon experience is the complete opposite of yours . I bolted it on new in 2015 , set the choke and adjusted the mixture and idle screws and have not touched it since . Good cold...

Rock has it for $12.92 and pic shows bent arm.

An electric fuel pump would have taken care of your cold start issue.

Start with 76 IAB´s and work larger until you get a nice crisp snappy idle with mix screws between 1-2 turns out , of course assuming everthing listed above has already been done.

Probably has #70 air bleeds in it . Thats what my 850 QF had in it , swaped sizes and ended up at around #82 I believe. Nice and crisp now with 4 corners at 1-1/4 out .I was also able to take nozzles up to #40 with no bog , it just goes.

Used a spread bore to square bore adapter and ported the adapter for better air flow.

Fine carb and will run great right out of the box , you will have to tweak the air door adjustment and fab up some brackets to use the mopar throttle cable set up .

For a stroker you would want at least 3/8" line maybe 1/2" .Stock type senders are available in 3/8" and 1/2". Stock replacement lines are available in 3/8", or you can run aluminum or AN line all the way up . Pretty easy to do. Original line is 5/16" , pretty small to feed a stroker.

Sounds like you're going mechanical if so use the Edelbrock with 3/8" ports or the clay smith with 1/2" ports . Most other fuel pumps available use 1/4" ports.
