I just sent back a 66 lockset I bought from Herb'sparts for my 65..totally different look between the two. Ended up buying a used lockset for a 65 from a member here. The hole needs to be a lot bigger to fit the 66 lockset.

I think it does show up under hard acceleration..After about 5 to 10 seconds it goes south...BLAAAAAAAAA and I have to lift off the pedal. Then its back to running again..And yes it kinda makes that sound..BLAAAAAAAA until I lift.

I actually was thinking the fuel lines might be old and restricted and when at idle, the pump cant pull the fuel through enough. When accelerating, the pump has enough pull to a point, then the restricted lines shine their ugly heads again and bog the motor down with starvation.

I am getting pretty excited..got our plane tickets, hotel( best western near the track ) and the arm bands for the 3 day show. Getting in to town wednesday night so will have the day thursday to do some sight seeing. I want to see Hoover dam.
