Does anyone really do this to their cooling system?

Would vinegar hurt the system ? If not you could run a few gallons of vinegar theu the system and drive (or let it sit after running the engine) for a few days then drain it . That should disolve rust in the jackets.

Interesting means of cleaning a carb

I had a friend vapor blast a few carbs and my Holley Pro Dominator tunnel ram . Came out like new ! The intake actually is NOS but had lost its luster just sitting around . The carbs were nasty though.

Honda engineering sent out a memo to all service departments stating that under NO circumstances should you flush engines . It said they have had catastrophic engine failures due to flushes .

    Super Six Special Pkg ?

That intake is a Offy and I believe you are correct . It is a dual 1 bbl not 2 bbl. Nice Challenger ! Those are rare. A friend bought a slant challenger in Seattle back in the late 90s and I drove it back to Idaho . It ran great !

    Super Six Special Pkg ?

I texted my brother and asked for more pics . The guy lives 2 hrs north of the Twin Cities. Yes the hood looks like it took a lot of work to make . That is why I doubted it was a mass produced or even a short run piece.

    Super Six Special Pkg ?

I kind of figured it was done by an individual but thought I would ask . Not all builds have to be blinding fast . I would love to do a 64 Valient with an alloy slant and alloy OD 833 just to see how light you could get it and max mpg. It would still be quick due to power to weight .

    Super Six Special Pkg ?

Not factory but a dealer upgrade special edition is what he said . I recognized the Offy intake but not the hood . I asked Shawn to get me pics of the whole car and ask him what dealer it was supposed to have come from. My first reaction was a modified Valient. The guy also has some Road...

    Super Six Special Pkg ?

My brother sent me some pics of a friends car that is supposed to be a special package with a Slant 6 running 2 carbs and a hood that appears to have Sport Fury bulges and signals . I have never seen or heard of such a car. Was this a Dealers Special Edition like a Mr Norms car ?

    390 cfm

My brother and I were just talking about RX3s last week . He said a guy at his track has one with a small block chevy LS engine . I said he should have used a 3 rotor twin turbo .

Really ? That is cool ! I had no idea they injected oil for the rotor seals. I assumed Wankels just inherently ate oil .

    Distributor wrench help

The hold down is held in place by the stud instead of slipping around while you try to start the bolt in the hole in the block. Its not a huge deal but it is nice if you are recurving the dizzy and taking it in and out over and over again on a small block.

    Distributor wrench help

I am saying I installed a stud and a nut vs a bolt . It has no bearing on the wrench question but it does make it easier to replace the hold down when you pull the dizzy. Then I use a shorty 1/2 wrench to tighten the nut. I have a few Dist wrenches but this way is easier.
