I thought that 78 up slant 6 had a different head and v cover, this was printed in 77
Well, printed in 77 it would have been correct and factual. The 81 and up hydraulic lifter heads had the different valve cover patterns.

The direct connection slant six racing manual is a good read, but it is out dated. There are also errors. There are references made for the slant six, that are correct for a V-8, but wrong for the slant six. Read it with a grain of salt.
