So you guys don't like the cowl scoops, how about this

Hard to tell in the picture but it looks like a Max-Wedge scoop which had a dip in the middle. I liked it earlier I like it now. Different is a good thing. It will stand out in a crowd thats for sure.

So you guys don't like the cowl scoops, how about this

Looks good. I personally would rather see a factory appearing scoop on a car even if it came on another car. I have always been a fan of the early Max-Wedge and Hemi scoops also. It loooks to me like you have a winner on your hands.

    TQ help

Try tightening the spring on the secondary air valve a little. If this valve is opening too soon it will cause a hesitation. There is a screw on top of the carb with a lock nut on it.Youll need two screwdrivers, one to hold the screw and one to loosen the lock nut. Try adjusting it a little at a...

    Throttle Cable Woes

Mancini has them. They are a copy of the slant 6 cable so they are a little longer than a V-8 cable. We use them on race cars with tall intakes and spacers. http://store.yahoo.com/chucker54/mosiplthca.html

    Cool Cans

No. When I first started racing it seemed like everyone had one, Now very few. I personally haven't seen one on a car for years. I have two on the shelf though. For me the fuel line on the inside is too small compared to what I'm running on my car. For a street car it will be fine though...

    Electric Fuel Pump?

I ran more than 1000 passes with this set-up in my 69 Cuda and have friends that still do it in their cars today. It ran a best of 12.19@111 in the 1/4 and 7.62 @ 90 in the 1/8 with a low buck 340. I know it doesn't seem logical but It did work well.

    Electric Fuel Pump?

I currently run a Barry Grant 280 pump but wouldn't recommend it on a street car. On my old street/strip 340 69 Barracuda, which ran a best of 12.19@111 I ran a Holley Blue pump and a mechanical pump. The Holley pump was on a toggle switch and i only used it when at the track or when a...

    big block carb size

Holley or Edelbrock? Either. Some people like one some like the other. Personally I like Holley because of the number models available and they just plain work awesome. On the other hand, I just put a Thunder series 650 AVS on the engine i built for a friends 69 383S Barracuda and took it for...

    big block carb size

I personally would rather see this engine with a 750 cfm carb. I think it would respond much better. I'd rather see a 650 on a mild smallblock.

    fuel problem?

A fuel pressure fluctuation is a good indication that something is not right. Check your fuel line from the fuel tank all the way to your carb. There is a section of rubber hose a few inches long right at the fuel tank(coming out of the sending unit)I have seen these dry rot and suck air causing...

    Rich at idle

Check to make sure your transfer slots in the base plate aren't uncovered at idle also. Sounds like a power valve could be blown or just wrong. Did it run rich before switching to the pro-form body? If you have too small an idle air bleed it could make it run rich but the ones that came with it...

    Fuel bypass question

The pump is being used how it is designed to, so it should be fine.Running a line back to the tank after the pump would just reduce the amount of fuel to the carb. Your best bet would be to run a true bypass at the carb with a full return line to the tank. A bypass valve has a spring/check valve...
