Sometimes you just gotta beat on them. If you are using all the correct parts around them and they are still touching you have no other choice.

Just add another spot it is touching. Thats 3 places now Chassis, Steering Coupler and Steering Box. Couldnt see this little gem till exhaust shop let it down off the hoist. Boy Im wishing I ordered the 1 3/4 for that little extra clearance.

Zac thanks for the photos but I can tell you now I will not be pounding on my nearly $1000 AUD coated headers. I will be doing everything possible to make them fit without doing that. For those that have asked my car is an original V8 - 318 car now 408 with replacement schumacher mounts.

Tried fitting my TTIs headers myself and could not get the car high enough to feed them in from the bottom. Had enough of that so took the whole lot down to the exhaust shop. They tried to put them in and was hitting steering coupler. We pulled the column back and then I left the guys to it...

If you are using a Magnum block with TTi headers you will have to grind some of the rear magnum passenger mounting pads on the block. I had to take approx 1/4 inch from mine so the headers will sit flat on the heads. There is no info from TTi about this prob when they sell these. Luckily...
