    Procharged '67 Dart

No I'm not. Like I said, I'm at 6,000' of elevation so we are already down on power quite a bit. On 6psi of boost I've basically just made up what I lost from sea level, plus a little more. It's only making about 650-700hp at the most right now. At sea level it would be 800+ easy, and then I...

Sure can. I intend to this fall after some tuning and testing.

    Procharged '67 Dart

About 6psi on pump gas right now. But I'm also at close to 6000' in Colorado. Good luck!

    Procharged '67 Dart

Haha! It will be a while before it sees a track... It's a purpose built street car. ;)

    Procharged '67 Dart

After 5 1/2 years, this car is in the final stages of what I had originally planned for it, so I thought I'd share with you guys. A lot of blood, sweat and tears of not only my own, but my good friend (Who I couldn't have done all of this without) went into this car. Anyway, The Great Pumpkin...

    procharger vs paxton

FYI, I think Kevin at CSU is hands down the best blow through carb guy out there. Pretty hard to beat his BT carbs, imo.

    Starting 340 Build w/ Supercharger

Obviously there's more to a package than making the power. There are other key factors that come into play as mentioned. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't build what you are envisioning. I've found that a lot of people telling you why you shouldn't do something are in fact the same people that...

About that time 470,500, or 512

I'm not sure why you'd try to make that kind of power on a factory block. And I think I'm in the minority here when I say that I believe they can handle more than people think. I also believe things like girdles are basically a waste of money. The right and good machine work with head/main...

    super charged 340 ???

Cast pistons? If so, I wouldn't. Even at 7-8psi, but that's just me. Wouldn't mess with a cast Eagle crank with boost, either. Cam could work with that split... What's the LCA?

    fuel pump

Yeah, my A1000 is loud... Until the car fires off, then I promise you can't hear it anymore. ;)

cam selection for a blown 505

I could go over my Procharged 496 Wedge build with you sometime, if you wanted. I talked to Tim at Bullet extensively about the solid roller I ended up going with from them. Also, is this a factory block you're going to use? Because with a roots blower and a 150+ shot... Man, I wouldn't do it...

    Procharger with hypertechnic pistons

I just built a Procharged raised deck stroker. And hypereutectic pistons never crossed my mind. You don't have to do what I did and lay down some serious coin on custom Diamond pistons, but I definitely would do a good, solid forged piston. There is no point in messing around on a boosted...

Pros and cons between turbo and supercharging

And the quickest cars on the planet are supercharged... So what? I haven't had the chance to build a turbocharged car yet, I've only messed with centrifugal and twin screw blowers. My next build will be a big inch twin turbo build, though. Turbocharing is pretty interesting to me. The obvious...

    Drivability blower vs turbos

This just isn't true. I've built, owned and have driven roots, twin screw, and centrifugal blower cars. And while the Procharged cars didn't hit quite as hard as the roots or twin screw cars did off idle or a slow roll, I had boost at just below 2k rpm. There was no downshifting involved, just...

    Plug Gap

I'd say you're probably in the ballpark if you're running 8-10lbs of boost. You could probably tighten them up to .028-.030 even. I wouldn't go any wider, though.

Let me see some Charged Mopars!

If I wanted to make BIG power, 1000hp+ max effort deal, I'd go turbocharged. For something fun in a street/strip car, I think it's hard to beat a blower car. Opinions will vary, ultimately you have to build what you want. There are a couple pics of my old Procharged setup in my gallery. I'm...

    Boost referenced timing retard

FWIW.. I'm running a 6530 with a Digital 6+ and a Blaster-2 coil on my Procharged 496 Wedge. No IC or meth. 10lbs of boost on pump.

    buying a used set up

You're asking for headaches if you don't at least have that carb set up and tuned for blow through. Trust me, I just went through that mess! I just ordered a 750 blow through carb from Kevin at CSU for my Procharged 496 raised deck build. He's a great guy to deal with, and from everything...

    Procharger.....

I have a few pictures of my set up on the old 440. Probably would be easier for me to email them to you, if you're interested. There is one in my gallery, if that one helps at all. It sits pretty much directly over the frame rail, with part of the case inside and part of it just to the outside...

    What's it worth?

Well, after careful consideration, I'm thinking of going a completely different direction with my new build. So, I may be selling my Procharger D1SC set up. I've been looking around on Craigslist to see what people are asking. Looks like between $2k-$2800. Does that seem about right? It is a...

    Sender locations?

On my last build, I tapped into the bowl area of the intake manifold for the IAT sensor. Seemed pretty accurate. I've seen other people run them in the rear intake runner as well.

    Twin Turbos PLUS !!!!

Ha! That's good. Haven't been asked if it's a Chevelle yet...Been asked if It's a Nova, and plenty of "What kind of car is that?"s. I was asked by a really nice little old guy, if it was the "Dukes of Hazzard car" lol....That was probably my favorite!
  24. nitrojunkee

    Twin Turbos PLUS !!!!

Meh. The car is not my kind of thing. I also stopped going to car shows when I was in my early 20's too. Just don't get the mentality. But, I'm not going to bash someone's build for how or why they wanted to either. I get plenty of crap for my Dart because It's a post car. And the so called...

    Heads for stroker?

Well, I'll be pulling the motor out of the Dart and tearing it down soon. Seems that it ran into some detonation and lifted the head allowing some coolant by the head gasket. There wasn't any water in the oil that I could see. So assuming there is no other real damage, which I'm pretty sure...

new to boost game need direction

I'll be picking up an 8762 version of the BTM and using it with my digital-6+ & Pro Billet dist. That along with methanol injection seems about the only way to go. Will be pulling the motor soon and changing my setup. By the way, I'm Procharged and in CO too! ;)
