    Early A body weight

Yeah. And all these years I thought weight measurements were a given. Lol

    Early A body weight

It’s funny you say that……cause that’s what Jason said also. Lol. My ride or die right here. Lol.

    Early A body weight

Yeah. Our seats are quite a bit lighter than that from the feel of it. 2009 Kia seats. I didn’t figure the 8.8 would be lighter. That thing was kinda portly?

    Early A body weight

It’s a cat scale. It’s accurate. Plus we hit a grain scale on the wAy home and the two numbers were within 20 lbs

    Early A body weight

So 3050 lbs empty. For everything we added I’m kinda shocked at how light it is now. Lol. When we thought it was heavy I started going back through everything we added to the car and realized how heavy we built it. LOL

    Early A body weight

We did. This was at a truck stop. You would think it would be accurate wouldn’t you? Not a cat scale. Didn’t have one close. But I’ve used this one in the past. But……we all know all it takes is one 19 year old chicken hauler to spike the brakes on the scale to **** it up. But……update……we...

    Early A body weight

Not with the way this scale is setup. We’re planing on weighing at another scale shortly. Lol

    Same here. Local truck scale

    Early A body weight

Without driver I’m assuming? That’s the crazy part here. The scale is known to be accurate. We love the car the way it is. No doubt. But it would be nicer if it was a little lighter. Lol

    Early A body weight

Lol. I like how you tied the prom in there. Lol. I’ve never had one that weighed over 3400 TOPS with driver. Lol

    Early A body weight

We weighed Jasons valiant the other day, and we’re kinda shocked at its portlyness. Lol. We didn’t build it to be light, and didn’t cut weight anywhere. But wow! Here’s the rundown. 1963 Plymouth Valiant 2 door hardtop 1983 318, iron heads, cast iron exhaust manifolds. Tf727 trans with stock...

We bought our “cat whiskers” from a member on here. @RPM440+6 Great guy to deal with. We bought all of our soft parts and door panels from Richard. Hope this helps. Eric

    64 Barracuda, Valiant

Kinda sad no title. Maybe no vin plate either. Looks like it could be an original v8 car. Anything can be brought back, but wow, that’s pretty picked over. I’m with mike. About $500 Check for original dropped centerlink, disk brakes, v8 pedal assembly, etc. those bring good money

Throttle Cable Conversion For Early A

Years ago I had a hot roded slant six. It worked great with a 390 vacuum secondary out that I had on with an Offenhauser intake. That’s the same carburetor that were running on Jason’s 318. It works great but runs out of breath at about 4800 RPMs. LOL. We have a 600 waiting for it.

Throttle Cable Conversion For Early A

You don’t even need to plug the throttle shaft hole. The pedal mounting plate does that along with mounting the pedal pivot. It’s really a slick set up. We just ran an aftermarket throttle cable because it was easier with our intake and carburetor selection and worked better.

Throttle Cable Conversion For Early A

Here’s the setup we used on Jason’s car. We replaced the factory cable with an aftermarket cable. Works great.

1964 Valiant "Get Runnin & Drivin"

That’s awsome Rob! Congratulations on the maiden voyage. It’s good to see ya in an A body again. I don’t believe the early wiper motors have a ballast on them. I’ll see if I can find pics of Jason’s.

    improving cluster lighting 64 cuda.

It came out of a 1966 Plymouth fury according to the numbers on it. It actually sounds really good with some modern 6 x 9s wired in series I didn’t realize it was rare. Lol. My uncle had it laying in a cabinet, and we hid it behind Jason’s factory AM face plate. It blends in with the dash...

    improving cluster lighting 64 cuda.

That is precisely what we did in Jason’s 1965 gauge cluster. It worked great, and the results are outstanding. Thank you again, slant six Dan, for all the great information you provide to this board.

I am running a DANA 60 also. Lol.

    ROCKAUTO FUEL TANKS

Lol. I actually run -10 to the pump and filters, than -8 to the regulator. Lol Totally overkill. But……we ran 11.12 @ 122 mph @ 3500 lbs with 3/8 line. Plugs looked beautiful. No fuel supply problems pressure wise either.

    ROCKAUTO FUEL TANKS

I refuse to acknowledge your logic and reason and run 8AN fuel line on my 575 hp street car. Lol But seriously though, I agree. Most of us oversized our fuel systems. Which I don’t see as a problem. FWIW, that same 8AN line fed my 775 hp big block with out breaking a sweat. Both naturally...

    ROCKAUTO FUEL TANKS

Yep. We did the same thing with Jason’s car. Rock auto tank and sender. 3/8” sender with one outlet and one return. In case we switch to a return style fuel system.

1964 Valiant "Get Runnin & Drivin"

The face is a modified 1964 AM piece I had in my “archives”. And the radio is a 1966 Plymouth Fury AM/FM unit my uncle had in his “archives”. Lol. Grandpa cleaned out the insides and made sure the circuitry was solid and it sounds like a million bucks with a decent set of modern 6x9s wired...

That’s exactly what we did with Jason’s along with the LED light bulbs. Cleaned all the contacts and circuit board really well.

    62 Lancer gas tank

Ha ha ha ha. I totally was thinking shock to tank. Lol. Yes. We made a rubber piece out of an old inner tube and used that. But I don’t know if it’s completely needed. But we figured it couldn’t hurt
