    Cowl hood

First of all, guess you didn't get what I was saying. No mention of returning all the aftermarket i.e.: non Mopar-sourced, back on the shelf to go with just the Mopar NOS parts on your car? Afterall, those aftermarket parts weren't originally sourced by Mopar, so therefore they have no room in...

    Cowl hood

I think the point of it is it's his car, not yours. You don't like it, fine, then don't do it and don't own it. Why aren't your putting in these same two cents of "only Mopar" when folks chime in about putting Explorer disks on their cars or talking about Ford 8.8 swaps in place of 7.25's? Or...

    Cowl hood

Because for some of us the Mopar style scoops would like crap on our cars. I've seen Mopar scoops on my M-body. They look as cheesy as the Lund stick on ones. But I still want the fresh air set up. So in his defense, if he likes the idea of a cowl induction (hmmmm, isn't that what NASCAR has run...

Goodyear Bluestreaks on a 66 Dart 273 Hipo?

Must be just around my area then. The last set of red lines I've seen were sitting on Jamison's Duster... even in the local shows they aren't really seen.

Goodyear Bluestreaks on a 66 Dart 273 Hipo?

Definitely not something seen everyday, that's for sure. And they do look good. Red stripes aren't something you see much of anymore either...just a trend?

Goodyear Bluestreaks on a 66 Dart 273 Hipo?

Sorry, it's the first thing that popped into my head when I saw "blue streak." It's a saying of my dad's: "I'd be so scared I'd sh** a blue streak..." :-D

Goodyear Bluestreaks on a 66 Dart 273 Hipo?

fstfish, I'd figure you'd hate the look. After you take someone for a ride in that car, figured you'd have passengers sh**ting a blue streak! What a mess! :-D Now back to our regularly scheduled thread.

Anyone installed a JC Whitney headliner?

Great idea. I've had cars where these have come out and gotten mixed up. Stinkin' nightmare to find the right order again.

Anyone installed a JC Whitney headliner?

Good idea. One of the tricks to shrinking it in after installation, too, if you wind up with wrinkles is too spritz with a mist of water from a squirt bottle and hit it with a hair dryer.

    Is it rare Poly 318?

Yeah, but what other color could a car from hell be? lol

    Is it rare Poly 318?

Thanks for the info on the Desotos as I couldn't remember. I love the '50s era Chryslers. As Rob pointed out it was like Baskin Robbins, before the corporate world came down and said "shared engines." Ask a kid these days what a Desoto was and you get a blank stare. Or even better yet, what's a...

    Is it rare Poly 318?

Thanks, rumble, forget to clear that up since I was going into the '50s.

    Is it rare Poly 318?

Some of the first gen Hemis and Poly's had shared components. The 325, as well as a few others came as both a Hemi headed engine and a Poly headed version in the Dodges. The biggest difference between the two was the valve train, with the Hemi head being a two rocker shaft engine and the Poly...
