ive got mine on the dash where its nice and easy to see.

my glove box liner was plastic, so i cut a hole in the back and made a place to mount the radio with sheet metal, then used speaker box material to cover it all.

those look cool. i just dont know how they will look in a classic car. i have a gauge pod in my toyota, but the valiant has the traditional 3 gauges under the dash. but if you like the way it looks. go for it! just make sure you post pictures so we can see how it came out.

well if the dash is drilled, but not the glovebox door, i would think the door may have been changed, that sure would be easier than changing the dash. but who knows.

i did mine on a hot day. i put it all in and stretched it pretty good. then let it sit and went back to stretch the spots that needed a little more. i did it with the windows in. it wasnt fun but it looked great when i was done.

that looks great! that is where im gonna put my fuse block. only place that fits. i started pulling all the circuits out that i didnt need. power widows. locks. etc, i do have one question. do you know what the backup/cruise fuse is for? thanks.

there is also a place that makes kick panels that accept speakers. i have a set in my scamp.

thanks MEMIKE. i made the glovebox unit. first i made a cardboard template, then i made it out of metal and covered it all in speaker carpet.

i would think removing them would be easy. now removing them without destroying them. that could be a little bit harder.

they also make kick panels with molded in speakers mounts. i have some. they even came with speakers.

do you guys know if anyone sells paint to paint them to match my interior. my dashpad is brown

hey guys. well i decided to make my own holes for my rear speakers. at least for now untill i order the cover with the correct holes. i marked out a 6x9 square and then made a grid with a mark every half inch. 494 holes later with my dremel and this is what i got. at least people wont see...

thats the one. i also found it on laysons website. you cant look it up under scamp. you have to look up a dart and they offer it in all the colors. 50 bucks. right now i just have a blanket over my speakers so noone can see them. thanks for the replies.
