    Which Oil Dipstick?

That link looks perfect. Most of the used /6 sticks I've found, people are charging just as much. Thanks for all the tips, everyone. This should work!

Sizing turbo for slant 6 powerwagon

A stock engine won't have any issue spinning up any of these turbos. They are okay picks but I would recommend a T3/T4 50 trim or 60-1. These will run much lower pressure and make more power. As for the gears, I'd go with a much higher gear for any of these turbos, nothing over 3.55 unless...

    Which Oil Dipstick?

Hi All, I have a '66 Dart with a '71 slant 225 installed. Ages ago I broke my dipstick and I finally want to replace it but have no idea where to source one. Does anyone know what will work? I've looked on eBay and there are very specific year/body auctions but nothing that seems to match my...

Turbo Slant Six Dyno - 1st Attempt

I have to agree here. The /6 head just doesn't flow nearly enough and needs tons of lift to get close to a modern head. They won't spin nearly as fast either. Hopefully they are as bullet proof as we hope :-) I'd hate to see my bottom end in the scrapper.

Looking into that this week. The manifold was built so that we could add one if I needed, I need it!

Turbo Slant Six Dyno - 1st Attempt

It feels ridiculous when I drive it because it doesn't have enough tire. It's hooked a few time and you can feel the 11s et inside. No overheating issues thus far - and I'm running the stock radiator from the original 273 :-) Cost wise, I haven't broken it all out at any time. I figure the...

Turbo Slant Six Dyno - 1st Attempt

Actually trying to get the boost down to 15 psi. AF/r on this pass was between 9.5 and 12.7 (12.7 at peak torque), with some slight audible ping. Not good! I'm running a 500 cfm 2bbl Holley with a boost referenced power valve and 76 jets. I'm going to talk to my carb guy to see if we can open...

Turbo Slant Six Dyno - 1st Attempt

Hi All, I've been working on my turbo build for about a year and a half now and finally got some results today. Slant six + GT32 @ 16.5 psi = 440.6 lbft @ 3808 rpm and 330.7 Hp @ 4057 rpm Not too shabby. The reading was from a dynapack at the rear wheels so I'm guessing she's got around...

198 talk : more power in the tower!!!

As much or as little as you want. Really it depends on how much reliable boost you want and how much fabrications skills, spare parts and tools you have abailable. There are folks that are using mostly stock engines with junkyards turbos that have gotten up and running for a few hundred...

Who has the Highest Mileage Slant-6??

i had a '66 valiant 4-door that had over 226K miles on the 225 before it met its end. i was the last of many owners so i'm not positive it wasn't rebuilt. but, considering it was bleeding like an oil fountain from every possible seal and plug i'm going to assume it was original. it was white...
