More progress! The front end is on. A change in wheel size

Time for an update. The body is painted!!!:D And the doors, hood, and truck deck are very close to being ready for paint... The color is charcoal gray metallic...

Finally got around to posting more of my progress.. I got the front suspension mocked up before taring it back off to undercoat the frame rail... I got the heads back from the machine shop with new stainless valves and comp cam springs.. sorry bad pic... also got the block painted...

I received some goodies in the mail today! First box of goodies came from Firm Feel Inc. The first half of the stage 3 suspension kit.... The Second box is from www.engine-swaps.com A set schumacher tri-Y headers....

Finaly got the tunnel hump welded in... Also picked up a new set of door hinges... and got the rear end blasted and painted.

Got some more progress to show!

Went yesterday and picked up a 8 3/4 b-body sure grip rear end with 391 gears. I forgot to get a pic but it is in really good shape and very clean, It is complete minus drums and got it for $600...

I started the final fitting before welding on the quarter.... After tack welding a couple spots on the quarter and fitted and welded in the tail panel.

The bellhousing showed up today!

Definatly not going with the yellow! I'm leaning towards charcoal gray, or possibly a mid night blue....

Got more done today! I took moparisbest's advise and centered the fuel cell in the trunk and welded everything in.... I took the door strikers out and found this on both sides...

I ordered the bellhousing yesterday, can't wait till it shows up......

Thanks for the advice! I am going with a 4 wheel disc conversion and I have a guy that builds altered wheel base cars for a living advising me on the right way to do it... I am also putting in frame link connectors..... I also emailed firm feel inc about a stage 2 or stage 4 suspesion kit but...

Does anyone know of another company other than firm feel suspension that will reinforce k members?

Thanks for the tip! I had a few other people tell me that witch was one of the reasons I moved it out of the blasting booth today, I have alot more room to do the fitting of the panels....

I actually got the last of the rust blasted on the car and and finaly moved it out of the blasting booth and moved it to the front room! i then got it up on jack stands and removed the suspension... Decided to do some work on the fire wall and make some of the extra...

So can anyone tell me what company if any make headers to fit a 440 in a duster?

Too bad about the slant six.. too bad you wernt closer I have 318 and a 3speed I pulled from a 70 duster... Great looking project though!

I also did a test fit of the rear panel...

More progress today! I did some fitting and fabbing..... this piece was 2" too wide to fit in my break... I will be media blasting everything before welding anything in......

Got a bunch more done today on the trunk area.....

Thank you! Thats what I was thinking but wasn't fully sure. I've never had any experience with fuel cells...

Can anyone tell me witch direction I should mount the fuel cell? With the feed outlet pointing forward toward the engine or towards the back of the car?
