On my '74 Cuda, with 10" rear drums, I need a new "brake bar" spring.......the bar slips between the 2 shoes above the axle, and the small slotted end is held centered and in compressed in place by the retainer spring that goes between the bar and the shoe.

Problem is that you don't get a new spring with a new brake bar :crybaby:............I wouldn't cry about it, BUT I have a BROKEN spring on one side.........

Dangerous, to say the least...... I stretched the spring for a temporary fix, and bent a new retainer tab on the end........a professional cob job, but it works for a little bit...........

The new springs are not with the bars, and they're not in any of the hardware kits that are available.....................nice, huh? [-X ......SHAME on you dopey parts manufacturers.

WHERE can I get a new spring, guys ????????? ](*,)

That spring was in the last EIS (brand name) hardware kit that I bought for a '96 Dodge van.

I needed them also for my 69 Swinger with 10" drums. NAPA was able to get them individually, without ordering the bar.
