Hello, I'm wondering if anyone can help me with vehicle weights.
I am currently building an Australian A-body as a bracket car, the platform and sheet metal
are virtually identical to the US built cars only the steering wheel is over the other side.

This thing is pretty much a Dart pick-up, its gutted, no heater or wipers, only the shell of the dash,
no glove box door or ash tray, no factory instruments.
Wiring is only start and charge, fan, water pump, fuel pump, no lights-turn signals.
Fixed lexan windows all round, no window cranks, one race seat.
The body has frame connectors, tork boxes, steel hood and fenders, no bumpers, no cage yet.

Engine is an 906 head 440, 727 behind it 8 3/4 out the back.
Thinking I need an idea of weight to put a baseline gear and tire under the car.

I assume it will weigh similar to a Duster or Dart sport, if anyone can help with a little info,
It would be very helpful, Thanks.

neat truck ! all p/u`s are lite in the *** end tho !

my Scamp weighs 3024 lbs w/o driver - got some fiberglass and aluminum going on - plus a few things "missing" - with what you are doing, I can see you being close to the same #

:) very loose front suspension is the plan!

my guess is around 3050#

Thanks for the info gentlemen, I was guessing 3000ish
It was 2876lbs from the factory, power nothing, electric nothing, slant6 Pov-pack.
Thanks again.

P.s Cool cars by the way

My "74 Sport is a real porker. It weighs in @ 3520 with me in it.

Ted

741 and 742 and 489 all take the same length driveshaft, but they can have a small 7260 or large 7290 yoke

There are huge variances in cars even with the same WB. My 68 Cuda FB is 3470 without me in it. With me it's 3640. It's a SB 904/8-3/4 car and the only option is power steering and a mild stereo system (about 20 lbs)
