I'm helping a friend of mine putting this car back in shape.
He and his wife were out driving when they got hit in the front.
He brought it to me and I stripped the car down to help the metal man.
After 6 month the car was back in shape. The metal man did magic on the car. Fabricated all the metal needed.
When I got it back home it's time to do the final sped incl dia assemble the front end and take off the small items before the paint job. It will be finished in anniversary gold with black insert.

The arrows seems to have a mointing hole in the rear of the arrow but not on the front of the fender! The metal man did an excellent job. I have adjusted the gap on the right side.
The heater box was a mess and needs to be rebuilt.

The front valence has some dents. Took it appart and smoothed it out and re-welded the bracket back in place.

Next was to make the front valence fit perfect to the fromt fenders. Strange but this car started to get a left bracket for convertible top cylinders. On the right side there hasn't been any bracket at all. On top of that the assemble staff wrote on the bar behind the rear seat back "no power"! After taking off some sealer I found some rust. Dang!

Did the front end today. Next was mount the heater box. After that line up all the parts on the body. Had some problem with the drivers door. Front valence and grille is next.

Nice work so far! This one has been sitting for twenty years. I'm trying to purchase it now. In the meantime I'm going to follow your progress. Good job!

Finally the adjustment of the front and hood is done. Next is to take of the wipers and the master brake cylinder. Do they repop the plastic in front of the hood on each fender? One is missing!

Yesterday I brought the engine in to the shop. Completly rebuilt. Added the exhaust manifolds incl the gaskets. Plus the small brackets on the drivers side.
Started with the 2K red and it turned out great. Today I started with the small odds and ends.

Yesterday I restored the power steering pump and painted it. Mounting it was easy but the power steering pressure hose was different then 1965. I did an extra loop and I cleared the K-frame and inner fender.

Today another great time re-assemble of the instrument panel! All the small steps is progress big time!

It's almost done. Need a nice dash pad for it but have a lead on one in Finland.
Should it some kind of black plastic part in the corners holding the lens?
