Restore it, Dont part it!
Very nice. I think I have thats card for mine too. Somewhere I know it had one with it when I got it seems like mine was in the glovebox no idea where I put it tho lol
Explain taller? Did you add a different intake? If the motor is a 273 then the engine shouldnt be taller then before with the exception of the intake or air cleaner. Are the mounts that you replaced the same as the old ones were? Dont cut the hood until you figure out why its up that high. Back in the early 80's I had a 66 Dart that I put a 340 with an edelbrock high rise intake and it fit. Im not sure about the 360 I just installed in mine now but I think the hood will fit.
And by the way, I am pushing towards 3 years since I bought the 66 Dart I am doing now and it still hasnt seen road in that time either. As for good investment, I can tell you we wont see our money back but the pleasure of working on it is priceless! As others have said stick with it. If theres anything I can hep with just give a shout!
Best of luck

Great news. I had to use a drop base air cleaner in order to not cut the hood. Yours is the best solution of all. The fun really begins when she starts!!!!!!! Keep at it, your almost there.
So we just got the car running and idling great. Pretty good for an engine that hasn’t been ran in over 8 years. The last time was on an engine dyno by the machine shop. I’m beyond stoked. We’ve been hard at work for the past three weeks with the goal of just making it turn over.
Thats so awesome! Your little guys are enjoying as much as you are! Wait til they get a ride.
Awesome that it’s running. You’ll have to get another video of its maiden voyage.
They were yelling that the wheels were moving. I didn’t have it in park all the way. I had to adjust the shifter to fix that. Good thing I had the rear on blocks. lolThats so awesome! Your little guys are enjoying as much as you are! Wait til they get a ride.
View attachment 1715424314 The radiator is in and looking good. Looks like it clears the pulleys which is good.
Its from Ledfoot Racing, its a champion radiator, 3 row core with dual 10' fans rated for 600HP. I ordered it through Pep Boys speedshop in 2013.Whats are the details on the radiator/fan
I re-used some of the original fuel line and I flushed it out real good. I had to cut some of it to attach a electric fuel pump near the tank. I lost some of the column shifter parts so I went ahead and installed a Hurst Shifter on the floor. I found the missing pieces later in a box I had stashed away so I wouldn't lose them haha.Keep things simple. Did it have a shifter when you got it? Most likely you can use the stock shifter. Does it still have the original fuel line in good shape? If so, re-use it.
