1969 340 Original Ign Wire Color ?

Hi guys. Can you tell me the original color of 1968 340 ignition wires. I'm thinking black ? But maybe they were orange or gray ? If they were orange or gray, did the orange have orange or black ends, or if gray did they have gray or black ends ? Thanks guys, Keith.

**Sorry please note my mistake. I meant 1968 !!! ( My engine is red.)

The wires are black, and the distributor end boots are black, but the plug end boot is orange.
