This is the car that was previously discussed. Car is in central NJ, indoors. IF the car sells WITHOUT the spares, I will sell the spares seperately. IF the car does NOT sell, no parts are for sale.

To be negotiated: 4 - SBP ralleys, 4 - ET 14x6 alum. slots, 5 - SBP 14x5.5 oem steelies.

Car AND all the spares: $9500.
MAY consider a trade for a done, complete A body car or a complete, near perfect B body with no drivetrain. (got that 440 that needs a home!)

I hope someone buys this complete with all the parts. It must have taken a lot of time and effort to accumulate everything. I like the idea of using complete original quaters instead of the aftermarket skins. Great 340 4 speed Swinger save for someone with the skills to complete the project.

Hey 684mulas, why don't you buy this. It would make a great stablemate for the 'cuda. I'll help you build it in my garage. Can you say 2nd mortgage?
Seriously though, I agree with you this is a great car and should be restored to it's former glory.

All the big items have already been hunted down and are stored with the car. Hard to find items were:

Rust free OEM metal: both qtrs., both 69 fenders, 69 floor and cowl, as well as the bulge hood with inserts. (5) 14x5.5 sbp wheels were also a toughy.

If I knew I'd have a shop, I'd be keeping it. trades considered!

Does the car have the original fender tag ?

yes it has the fender tag, just no build sheet. Raditator support # matches the VIN tag sequence. The rear is a 742 3.91 SG. I don't see any rear codes on the fender tag, Im guessing it came with a 3.23 and was swapped to a 3.91.

you won't see that code on the tag unfortunately , it would be an A code for the performance axle package .

I'll ask the dumb question , is there a code that DELTES the vynil top ? I thought it was an option on that model so technically you can't delete an extra cost option ?

I'll have to check the tag again. But I think there is no callout for vinyl top, but there IS one for "stripe delete". I'll post the tag when I get home.

I thought there might be a code for the optional 3.91 as the standard was 3.55 I think.

fender tag:

A01 R11 V88 END
R4 R4 L2X X9 521 296154
E55 D21 LM23P9B 387XXX

V88 is "Stripe Delete"

True , it is , but in the original post above you said it was stripe AND vynil top delete .

I know , I'm just being nitpicky. It's sort of like when people say a car is RADIO DELETE , technically that is not correct as a radio was an EXTRA COST OPTION , not a REQUIRED OPTION/ITEM , you can't DELETE something that you have to order.

Standard gear would be a 3.23 one legger , the sure grip was an extra cost option as were the 3.55 and 3.91 gear ratio , those came std with surgrip .

My 69 dart is a factory 3.91 gear car , it's not on the tag but I have the broadcast sheet .

I'll have to look at mine but that car is very close to the VIN of my dart , I think the SPD is the same day ?

Build date is 5/21. I agree that not buying the vinyl top is not an option. It would be a build sheet listing, not a fender tag. Seems there are more vinyl top cars than not. I also heard that vinyl top cars got bondo in the C pillars, and non vinyl top ones were leaded. Im not sure on that one.

Out of curiosity, I wonder if there were more vinyl top cars than no vinyl tops....

I think it's the other way around , less vynil top cars since it was more money . the top color would be on the tag if it had one .

Interesting on the bondo thing , never heard that before , or found that on any vynil top cars I parted ???

My 69 swinger had a black vinyl top from factory I think code was vix on fender tag, any way I had a factory oem quarter put on it in 1982 and remember bodyman melting lead out of the seam on the pillar about 4 inches up from top of quarter.Just my 2 cents worth

my 69 dart vinyl top car had lead. my 71 vinyl top car has bondo..

Generally speaking, the cars that had vinyl tops from the factory had bondo in the C pillars instead of lead. It was cheaper, faster, and the theory was it was gonna be covered anyway. This is why the Superbirds had vinyl tops. After dealing with all the lead work on the Daytonas, Ma decided it would make more sense to use plastic and slap on a top

What are you thinking for trades??? Give me something to work with. It looks just like a car I owned a long time ago. I really like it.

The price is pretty good for the car and the extras that go with it. But, it's a little more than I have right now. What trades would you consider...? ](*,)

I hate to look like a buzzard circling the carion, but I'm sending you a PM for the quarters if it gets to parting it out.

I was thinking about a done, finished completed Mopar, A or B body. B-Body without an engine/trans would be OK too, as I have a 440/727 built, ready to drop in (also for sale BTW). I know a trade wouldn't be a premium car (true RR, superbee...) but most likely at 318 car or clone.

The advantage of this project is all the hard parts to find, are there. I'm still picking up piece here and there. Yesterday I got a NOS clutch inspection shield off ebag. The car is a project, but do-able.

If someone wants just the car, as is...I'd then sell the parts off. I won't sell any parts until the car is sold. The correct parts are just getting to tough to find.

Don't feel bad about circleing! I've got a couple emails that I'm just hanging onto in case it gets parted out. I just hate to do that though.......

If you are truly wanting to sell this car and all associated parts...please call me at 574-268-4814. I have a strong interest in this project. I live in Indiana, and wish to speak with you. If you don't want to call me...then give me a number I can call and when.
