Hey guys, my Dad is looking at selling his 1970 Dart factory 340 4-speed car. It is set up right now as a Street/Strip cruiser that is fast! The car has a race W-2 340 with a Liberty proshifted aluminum 18 spline 4 speed (301 first gear) and 4:56 8.75 rear with all strange components, 35 spline axles, Caltracs and monoleafs.

The car as pictured has run high 6 second 1/8 mile times with traction issues. It does not have a roll bar so could only make few passes without track officials losing their minds. The engine that is in it is not the numbers engine but it does have the numbers matching block AND transmission that would come with it.

The car is a 3 owner car and has been in Middle Tennessee its whole life being kept inside or under carport since new. It had one repaint in early 80's due to light damage to right side but was fixed right and is a driver quality car. The interior is all original except for the shifter. The mini-tubs were professionally installed and do not allow smoke in the car when playing. Floors, frame, trunk, exterior panels and trim are all in excellent shape. The hood in the pictures is not the original hood but it would come with the factory dual scoop hood and is in good shape. This car was all original until mid 90's.

Just looking to see if it is time to sell it or not. Feedback is appreciated.

The mini tub of the car and the race modifications are going to hurt the factory 340 status in my opinion. The factory #s block and trans is good though. I would guess your looking between $11,000 and $15,000

Good looking car though and pretty quick as well.

now that is what I would be interested in....love the color/vinyl combination....not into the high impact colors myself

beautiful car, good luck post it for sale here when you decide

Anything quicker than 7.40 needs a cage in my neck of the woods. Buddy of mine got kicked out running a 7.20. Sweet ride....... GLWS I would agree w the $17-$18K cost quite a bit to push a street car that quick. If you decide to sell for $12k or less, Im sure you will not, but id take it. LOL!!!

Yep, I don't think the track officials realized it would run like it does. Around here we can run 7.20's and be ok but get into the 7.0 range and they freak out with no cage. I will tell you this, I have driven it and you almost can't shift fast enough lol... Thanks for the feedback!
