1972 Duster Orange Wire under Dash Question

I know the orange is the wire is used to power the accessories, I came across a really long orange wire at the end of the harness towards the glovebox, it is long enough to reach the foot sill plate, has a brown female flat plug on it? What is it?

Orange is far more likely to be dimmer controlled dash lighting.

Does your car originally have a console?

No, this one did not, but I may have put another one in place of mine when I was putting the car back together, Thanks that would make sense its long enough for a console car.

The only Orange wires I recall were radio lite, and console lite.

Might be the radio light, for bulb inside, on the dimmer circuit.
