[SOLD] 1973 340 short block

I am selling a 1973 340 short block. It has the earlier .30 over 10:5:1 pistons in it. It also comes with cast crank harmonic balancer and cast 340 4 barrel intake has windage tray.I also have a set of X heads that I might sell with this for the right price.Asking $ 1400 or best offer for the short block.Located in Austin Tx. I posted a picture of the serial number in case someone is looking for this engine.

Roy,
Actually the serial number and/or partial vin is located just above the oil pan rail on the passenger side of the motor. What you posted up near the head is the assembly stamping and the casting numbers are the larger numbers on the passenger side there. You may need a good wire brush or wheel to see the Vin pad/stamping. It looks like the photo I attached.

Hey Roy, I didn't see if you mentioned it, but does the recip assembly turn over easily or are there any points where it's sticky or won't rotate?

FYI the diamond stamp on the engine id pad means one or more oversized tappets
