1974 360 engine

Would a 1974 360LA engine need leaded gas thanks

Shouldn't; low lead gas was at all gas stations by 1974 by law and the auto makers had adapted.

74's call for unleaded-I've had a few and that's what mine called for.

Really doesn't matter as you can't buy any at the pump and the valve seat thing that was predicted back in the day never really was an issue,other things will get ya before that.

Where you get that additive any more?

You can get it at most auto parts stores! Lucas has one! Or you can order it from Summit! Comp makes it Redline etc. You can also get oil with it already in it! Brad Penn, Royal purple! It's pricey, but, a definite must! Almost every engine i've built in the last four years or so was due to a flat cam! Sadly the owners were not aware of this issue!
