2023 14th Annual FABO NASCAR "Pick 'Em" Game - Here We Go Again!!!

-
I just read that an announcement yesterday in Sport Business Journal said NASCAR had just closed on a "major real estate deal" where they sold 83% of the Fontana propertry for an expected "nine-figure price tag".
There's the answer.
Progress? Not likely.
Amazing the value of the land an old steel mill once resided on.

This is tough with no practice and no quals
uh................. Larson and Busch

It'll be intersting to see if Austin Dillion wins any races this year, especially if Busch has a great year. He's off to a decent start

I'm so sorry for the delay in posting results following the Pala Casino 400 at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana.

Congratulations to 'Avispa' (FABO), 'Back in Time' (FABO), 'cuda20' (FABO) and 'Sublime one' (FABO) for correctly picking the race winner, #8 Kyle Busch, and picking up -5 bonus points this week.
Congrats also to '44070dart' (FABO), 'Dart_Doctor' (FABO), 'LocuMob' (FABO) and 'Yunick13' (FABO) for correctly picking the race runner-up, #9 Chase Elliott, and grabbing
-3 bonus points this week.

'Sublime one' (FABO) had the low net score for the week with
-2.5 points

#1 Ross Chastain was was the race leader at the end of both Stage 1 and Stage 2
#12 Ryan Blaney was in 2nd place at the end of Stage 1
# 8 Kyle Busch was in 2nd place at the end of Stage 2

As a reminder here's a quick explanation of what the above numbers represent:

(your score before the race) (your Pole pick car #) (Pole winner bonus point) (race pick car #) (race pick car #) (Stage 1 bonus points) (Stage 2 bonus points) (race pick finish position) (race pick finish position) (race winner/runner-up bonus points) (your score after the race)
Please let me know if I show either your Pole or Race picks incorrectly or if you have any questions.

Please post your picks for the next race and let me know if you want to "lock" them in for future weeks. I will put an "L" before either your Pole pick or your race picks to show they've been "locked".
As always, you can always make different picks each week. Your "locked" picks will always be there should you forget to post your race picks, your computer malfunctions or the site should go down temporarily.

Don't forget to get your picks for the Pennzoil 400 presented by Jiffy Lube at Las Vegas Motor Speedway posted before the green flag drops at approximately 3:45 PM EST (12:45 PM PST) on Sunday, March 5.

Your Pole Pick for Las Vegas will need to be posted before qualifying starts at approximately 2:20PM EST (11:20AM PST) on Saturday, March 4.

Thank you sir, that 12 car saved me again

Here's my "kiss of death" Las Vegas picks:

Pole:
#8 Kyle Busch

Race:
#1 Ross Chastain
#9 Chase Elliott

Update (03/04/23):
#22 Joey Logano in place of Chase Elliott
I can't believe there isn't a clause in driver's contracts prohibiting certain activities during the race season. Things like skiing, snowboarding, or motorcycles where an injury may keep them out of the car for several weeks.

Replace 9 with 8, for vegas. Please and thank you. All others stay the same.

I just never could see the fascination with snowboards. Every 2 minutes those guys were pickin' themselves up outa the snow and rubbin' whatever part they had just injured :realcrazy: I stuck to my skis, point them suckers downhill and haul *** :steering::lol:

You two stickers... LOL I got hurt worse skiing than I ever did boarding. Swapped to boarding to help protect my knees a bit.

He must have really messed up a knee or ankle to be out indefinitely. I'd guess an ACL injury. I know my ACL reconstructions took a long time to feel right even driving to PT.

You jocks can keep the boards and skis. lol
I'll stay in the shop where it's nice and warm and the music rocking. :D

Elliot broke his tibia which is usually a bunch better than an ACL injury, in degree of recovery.
