Right on time, here's your Gerber Collision and Glass NHRA Route 66 Nationals"Tuesday Before the Event" reminder.

Please post your picks before qualifying starts so you will be eligible for all event bonus points.

The first of the scheduled four rounds of qualifying is scheduled to start at 2:30pm EDT (11:30am PDT) on Friday, May 17.

nhra.com currently shows the following number of entries:
* 22 Top Fuel
* 18 Funny Car
* 20 Pro Stock
* 19 Pro Stock Motorcycle
Those counts are always subject to change so make sure to check to make sure your driver picks are entered.
Please check nhra.com to make sure your picks are competing in this event.

The current weather forecast for Elwood, IL, and the Route 66 Nationals calls for
* Friday - mostly cloudy with a high of 76F and a chance of rain after 6pm EDT
* Saturday - mostly sunny with a high of 79F
* Sunday - sunny with a high of 82F

@TT5.9mag, Pro qualifying at the Route 66 Nationals is underway. Per game rules I will carryover your picks from the Circle K Four-Wide Nationals (Carolina) to the Route 66 Nationals. These picks will be eligible for elimination round points only.

Congratulations to 'memike' (FABO) for winning the 2024 Gerber Glass and Collision (Carolina) NHRA Route 66 Nationals Top Qualifier title with an outstanding total of 30.5 bonus points. He picked the #1 qualifiers in both Funny Car and Pro Stock, the #2 qualifiers in Pro Stock, and the #3 qualifier in Top Fuel.
'GTXDAN' (FBBO) was the runner up qualifier with 29.0 bonus points.

We have 16 players again this week and 16 different driver combos made up of:
* 4 different Top Fuel drivers with one Round 1 head-to-head matchup between #3 qualifier Doug Kalitta (5 picks) and #14 qualifier Justin Ashley (4 picks). The next possible head-to-head matchup would be in the final round of eliminations if both drivers survive that far.
* 5 different Funny Car drivers with one Round 1 head-to-head matchup between #6 qualifier Ron Capps (1 pick) and #11 qualifier Matt Hagan (5 picks). There is a possibility of two head-to-head matchups in the semi-finals if all drivers survive Round 1.
* 4 different Pro Stock drivers with the earliest possible head-to-head matchups in the semi-finals if all drivers survive.
* 3 different Pro Stock Motorcycle drivers with thee earliest possible head-to-head matchup in the semi-finals if both drivers survive.

Congratulations to 'stroked340' (FABO) for winning the "Top Picker Eliminator" title for the 2024 Gerber Glass and Collision NHRA Route 66 Nationals in Elwood, IL, with an outstnding total of 152.5 points. Both of his Funny Car and Pro Stock Motorcycle picks raced won their respective classes, and both of his Top Fuel and Pro Stock picks fell in the semi-final round of eliminations. He was also helped with ET bonus points in Pro Stock Motorcycle and Speed bonus points in Top Fuel.

* 15 Funny Car
* 15 Pro Stock

Pro Stock Motorcycle will not compete at this event but will return at the Thunder Valley Nationals.
