I have a Barracuda with a 1967 273. I really need a 4 barrel intake for it. From what I understand, a 318 or 340 intake will also work for a 273. I've been through 3 intakes so far: a leaking Edelbrock Torker 340, a Weiand that didn't line up right, and a factory cast iron intake I bought off Ebay without realizing the differences in a MARINE intake. I don't really care whether it's iron or aluminum, but if it's an aluminum one, I would prefer a dual plane. I'm not interested in paying too far over $100 for one. If someone could help me, it would be greatly appreciated. I really need to get this engine back together.

got a factory 273 66year 100 plus ride

Got a 318/360 Edlebrock - perfect for the small port heads on a 273/318.

You don't want a 340, 360 the ports are to big for the head, that will hurt you on the performance end

That doesn't make any sense... the head port size on a 340/360 is larger than a 273/318. If your intake is for a 360 then it's not perfect for the small port heads on a 273/318.

Performer 318/360 manifolds have the 273/318 size intake port.

The 318/360 performer come stock with the small ports but has enough meat to hog out to 360 specs.

What sup with the Marine intake, It has a different carb angle but thats it?

I have this one. I do believe a 1980 318 stock 4bbl. Someone here will tell me if it isn't. If you are near carlisle in July I can deliver. I hot tanked it but haven't finished cleaning it.

The carb angle is actually about the same as it was on my Torker 340. The problem was that it has a temperature sending unit pointing out the front instead of on top. Half of coil mount was broken off, and the water port on the passenger side was closed off at the temp. sending unit for some reason instead of going all the way through to the other water port. Not sure if all factory intakes were like that... but it was just too much to mess with.

Thank you all for the offers. I looked around where I lived and it turns out an old guy I met at a cruise-in is a long time Mopar man. He gave me two Edelbrock intakes for free. Can't go wrong there!

score!
I didnt know the marine intake was plugged...or corroded! I figured if it was a Marine, it had to be good...Oooh Rah!

Could be but IIRC they (318 4bbl motors) still had 360 sized ports. Mopar didnt mind a little port mismatch (the heads were 360's also) . Itll work. measure those ports: Are they 2" tall or 2 1/4? Police motor top ends got weird.
