302 Cylinder head question?

Will the late model 302 casting heads fit with the 273 exhaust manifolds in my 66 cuda? I thought i read somewhere that there was a casting on the head that interferes with manifold.

The air pump holes are on a face o under the port are the only thing I can think of, but they are flush with the port face, all I can think of, is that maybe the manifold tucks under the port?
I don't have any, and cant picture them.

I had to grind a small area of additional casting material on the 302 drivers
side. Do this with the and driver side head and manifold off the car
and you can easily see the area that requires attention. Do not try on the
car, the 2 surfaces will not be flush and the manifold/head gasket will not
seal.

thanks for the info jim, I wanted to make sure I could grind to fit if needed, Before i purchased the heads. sounds like a minor issue, thanks again

i used copper exhaust gasket on the drivers side.
