340 Pully

Needing a dual belt pully for a 73 340. The one from my 72 318 is just a touch different and won't bolt on.

it will bolt on, as pishta said, you can make it work. i have 4 bolts holding on one of mine because of the offset holes that i didnt make bigger, yet

I have that 73 2 groove pulley but it is from a 318

Thanks...got one...Didn't want to change the one I have cause if it don't fit the 340 I'll need it later for the 318 anyway.

Curious when the 340 pattern changed. The 318 went to the symetrical pattern in 72, so either

a) the 340 kept the offset hole through 73
b) the OP's "72" 318 is really a 71 and earlier
c) that particular 318 was built with leftover 71 parts
d) somebody changed dampers

Just curious what the deal is.
