340 question

hi guys

will early 360 heads work on a 340 block? the heads are stamped 360 on the inside.

yes....72-73 340s heads had 360 cast into them...even the 1970 340 TA heads have 360 cast into them..

Yes, they will work.

Early 340/360 heads are interchangeable. You can even have the 1.88" intake valves on the 360 heads opened up and put the 340 2.02" intake valves in to make them run better at any machine shop.
