I am tearing down my Duster to start the resto, and I am planning to put the 360 from it into my 89 Ram 4x4.
My truck has a very weak 318 in it with a 727, headers and dual exhaust, with 4.10 gears and 38" tires (needs steeper gears).
I really don't know much about the 360 as it was in the car when I got it. It has a stock intake and a 670 Holley Street Avenger carb on it. It's lots of fun for burning rubber in the Duster, and runs really good.
Now here's the question, Will my stock TBI work on the 360? Maybe I would need to use a 360 throttle body and computer. Has anyone done this? I'm not totally against putting a carb on it, but the TBI works great. I have owned the truck since 1995 and never had any trouble with it. Also I would love to keep my remote start for winter.
Any input would be appreciated.
