do you hand port or cnc port? what would be the flow #'s?

i have a super victor intake, would this work with the indy heads?

Indy heads are W2 pattern...so no it won't. I start with their cnc port, and then rework it. They flow 355 cfm at .700 lift and 360 at .750. Flow at .500 is 312 cfm.

W2 pattern, that is go to hear. My tunnel ram will work.

355 cfm @ 700 lift, that is perfect for my 709 lift roller.

Without intake as I can use my tunnel ram, around $5-5500?

Very interesting that the TTI headers made more HP than the same size Hedman's! I've read alot of trash talking on here that the Hedman's are far superior than the TTI's. I'm sure it varies on all engines, but its still nice to hear positive about them!

is the 360-1 heads the best for bigger cubic inch strokers? without going to w8/w9, which other head will support 700 hp?

i'm hoping my w2's will support 640 hp and i might want to take it to the next level, 700+ hp.

I wanted to share this with you...my customer in Tx just finished his Indy headed engine and ran it in the car after it made 778HP on another dyno.

After reading that thread, I'm almost positive my 434" would hit 700+ with Indy heads.

4.125 stroke, 4.090 bore, 13.1 comp, 709/687 lift, 277/288 @.050. Tunnel ram with 2/750's. As of now w2 heads. Hoping for 630-640 hp.

Indy's are closed chamber? My compression would be a bit higher with these heads? My w2's are open chamber

Way Cool..!!

those BSFC numbers came from an OOTB carb ?

I really like small blocks that make that kind of power on motor. They have a sound of their own. That is going to be a monster . I call mine the Elephant tamer. I basically have the same motor but used bore instead of stroke. Resto block, Indy 360-2 Rectangle CNC port. 4" str x 4.125" bore 428 cui . 1050 quikfuel. My headers are hooker 2 inch-3.5. You actually need 2 1/4 tubes to get rid of the step down coming into the header with the rectangle heads. I am having a set of 2 1/4 tubes made. $$$. HP moved up in the higher RPM's with the 360-2 rec. port. My Oval port Battens were 593 @ 7200 but had a lot better torque range for the street.

Indy headed As it is. at the crank 829@7900. Thanks to Dave @ HTA machine AKA "HEMI HUNTER" Nostalgia Top Fuel car . Don't ask the cost if the wife would ever find out I would be looking for a new place to live. $$,$$$

What is it like driving on the street?? Like a drift car with a stab of the throttle at any speed. Without a pull on rear brake. It has seen 9300 on the recall. 2nd-drive trans problem. 3 yrs and its still together. should have rod bolts for peace of mind.
