440 guys ...... question

Did all 440's come with a windage tray? I was surprised the '77 (or was it 78... lol) RV 440 had one...

I always grinch at a question with the word "All." Or "Every." Every 440 I've seen does. But fully admit. I haven't seen them "All." Lol.

I am going with no, but mine came from unknown origin. So not satisfied it had not been messed with? And I added one.

Possible in a RV application. HP engines had them. My 74 and 2 77 car 440 engines did not.

You are LOL on the 440 rv engine, add a small cam, headers and single plane intake, it will run fine.

Ive seen a good bit of C body stuff...... no windage trays, and very few baffled oil pans either....

I bought a 77’ New Yorker from a friend with a 440 back in 1990. Pulled the engine and no windage tray.
