I just got to working on my street rod to get it running and discovered the HEi I bought a few years ago is for a 383 400 and I need one for a 413, 426, 440. I have a new one to trade or will buy one. Either way I would like to get my 440 fired soon.

Can you not swap out the shaft from a 440 unit,a old unit? Its because I have not seen the inside of one of these so if you have pics of it,we might be able to do some thing or modify it,mrmopartech 450 424 0445

Basically I will get hamme5red if I put a pic. lol It is a GM dist. modified at the bottom to work in a Mopar. The problem is the one I bought being for a 383 it is about 1/2 inch too short to work in the 440. If there is a machinist near me I would pay to have them shorten the housing the neede amount. Or like I say I would be willing to purchase one for the 440. Search ebay with an engine size and hei and you will find one. The most common is a 318 because the guys in demolition derby use them for the 1 wire ease.
