Hi guys,
just a quick question.
Im screwing my 440 back together and checking clearances on the mains and I have. 003" on all 5 mains.
Confirmed with good old plastigage.
Just wondering if this will be ok.
My block is a late model 75 and I have put in a early model forged crank. 010 mains and 010 rod. Using clevite 77 ms1277p10 bearings.

go for it , we ran a s/s hemi 14 yrs. w/ .003 clearance on the mains, and .0027 on the rods.:coffee2:

The service manual spec is .0005" - .0015" MAX = .0025"

Are you using the right scale? That looks like it's in mm

Good catch,KK

1/25.4 x .3=.0118 inch.............Can that be right?That cant be right.
That scale must be .03mm.
Then
1/25.4 x .03 = .00118! That looks better.

So, verify what the scale is . Or swap to standard.
