Hi Folks
I have a 5.7 Hemi that I am going to use for another project I have. I have seen a 45RFE with supposedly 140,000 Km transmission for sale close buy to me for $350 with the transfer case attached. I know I will have to change out the tail housing for a 2wd application.
I always thought I would go a 727/904 setup but I thought the 45RFE or 545RFE might be an easier install as this combo were mated together anyways. I will have no problem with clearance in the tunnel as it will be hopefully going in an early Dodge truck.
Being a good deal I thought I would pounce on this or would it be better with 727/904 or wait and pay extra and get a 545RFE. From what I have read the 45RFE will do the job
