I would like to know if there is a quick way to identify older 48 degree W2 heads. I think I have a pair and I dont know if its worth the trouble to use them on my 410 stroker. Thanks

BTW: If you haven't built your 410 yet, I may be selling one of my new 48* R blocks (assuming that you haven't built the shortblock and the W2s are 48*).

Casting number is 3870810E. Intake surface is milled thin. Mopars west says there good heads. I am not sure if they are the 48 degree heads.

I will check when I get home today. I am away using soemone else's computer right now. So, MEW said they were good. You must have spoken with Angie.

Yes i just dont want to get involved with heads and intake machined that fit only one engine.

I have discovered they are 48 degree heads. Just not sure If I can, or should use these on my engine.

48-degree heads are for 48-degree blocks, which you do not have.

A set of Edelbrock heads should flow at least as well as the earlier W2s when ported, plus they're aluminum AND do not require all the different valvetrain pieces.
