Yes I've done it and just converted to coil overs. Not a fan of air ride/ ride tech. The bags are always varying height based on temp and the pressure readings are bogus. You align the car at a ride height and will fight to find it once you raise lower the bags. Many points of failure. My buddy just pulled his air ride out of 67 mustang and the coilovers ride much better. Bill at RMS had air ride for a while and dumped them too. Reliability is horrible. I've had to replace 3 shocks in less than 5k miles. You can get the cool low ride height with coilovers without all costs and headaches.
If you decide to go air ride I have a couple brand new shockwaves to sell you. $1000 retail. All yours for $500.
