Hi all, I'm getting rid of the mechanical linkage and converting to a drive by cable setup on my '65 Valiant. Will a later 67-76 gas pedal/bracket bolt up to my firewall? If not, I'd like to see what others have done! Thanks

Just get the '64-'66 V8 A body cable linkage, bolts right in. Only the slant 6 used the mechanical pivot rod linkage.
The later linkage can be made to work, too- but it's not a bolt in.

Thanks, I had no idea V8s were cable driven.

Not true; 65/66 slants with factory AC (not knee knocker) also used the same cable set up as the V8 but with a different cable (longer I believe)
True, but very hard to find.
But yes, as I stated, "only the slant six had the mechanical pivot rod linkage". No V8s.

I used an Aspen pedal with a bit of sheet metal to get it in the right spot. The Aspen's brake pedal pad was a direct fit too, so the pedals match
