Dang that's expensive. What happened to your project? Was the issue too expensive to get it made out of a material that be strong enough
Yes and no.

That's really not that expensive. The NOS I bought was 80.00

I made some out of aluminum and stainless and they seemed to be functional and strong enough. The center pin was problematic but I could have solved that. I even thought about tapping threads for a screw in pin rather than a press in pin.

Each price was good, my biggest concern is liability insurance for me in the event the part fails and prevents the steering from turning.

I need to get an LLC and liability insurance.

But that all costs money and with the low volume means I would never break even.

I haven't given up on this but I need a bunch of capitol to create a real business
