Can you use the insert type hood from the '68 on a '69?

The 69 hood and header panel is different shape in center.

That is a good question... I don't believe I have ever been asked or seen it mentioned. I would have to say .. Yes.

If you was going to buy a fiberglass hood let's just say does the hood available fit 67-69? If so I would say it would fit. But like I say I'm not totally sure.

The 68 is a flat hood along the front edge. The 69 has a bump up spot on the front edge, also known as the "beak". You'd need a 67 or 68 style front header panel in order for it to be used on a 69 and look/work correctly.

67 and 68 are the same hood, the inserts did change from 67 to 68 though. 69 looks the same as a 73-76 Dart hood (from the top, the underside is a bit different...crumple zone changes) with the center ridge that runs down the hood to the "beak" as mentioned above.
