67 trans woes

OK, finally got a 66 273, (and of course none of my later convertors fits the crank). What changes do I need internally to change later 904 to a 1.5 hub smaller convertor? Input shaft? Anything else, its a 70's so it has no funky rear pump or park cable.
 
Also think outside the bun. take the crank out and have a machinist mill out the pilot hub diameter to fit larger snub. the meat on crank is plenty .
 
Yup, already considered that, didnt know the meat was there, seems to be easiest. 1.81 right?
 
You can mill the crank, change the front section of the transmission, or what I usually do, get a local converter builder to make a converter to match each end.
