Wasn't sure where to post the question.......

I can buy a complete 8-3/4 rear, drum to drum, from a 69 Wagon (B-Body)...........To put it in my A-Body (76 Duster), is it only a matter of moving the spring perches inward to make it work?

What's up wit' dis swap? (I'm putting it in the place of a 76 7-1/4 rear)....

Every time I hear about someone using the b-body 8.75 they end up narrowing them as well. Don't know more than that though, sorry.

Move perches and use wheels with more offset. The rear is 3" total, 1.5" each side longer than a normal A body 8.75.

I've spread the springs, 1/2" each side, before to get them installed. A body perches are 43 center to center B body are 44". Is it right? Moving them is better, but, it can be done if necessary.

Good luck with it.

Here's a great reference for CORRECT 8.75 lengths, etc.
