Welcome to this great site if I missed you in the welcome forum td96ram
Look's like a great start and I bet you are glad to get the dash out :happy10:
That's a hand full to get dun :happy10:

I'm finally going to move forward with the Valiant, the thought of going with the 440 has now changed after i realized the cost wasn't going to work for me.So i traded the big block for a 360/904 combo and cash and will have the car at least running by fall.I will keep posting pics as i move along.

Here are some more pics of the engine compartment getting ready for paint.I'm going with something close to a 69 white color my question is what color do you paint the front frame rails? are they white or do you mask them off and go with black?I will black out the front of the core support and the k member will be black.

Looks good, dunno about the frame rail color.Simply a sweet build.

Factory the rails are body color- but remember that guys sprayed the undercoating and the black out by hand-held sprayer (in a pit below the car). Depending on what day it was, if the supply tank was a little low, how 'artistic' the line worker was feeling, et cetera- you could have very like to a ton of goo down there. Me? Do what you think looks good and makes you happy

I'm just thinking it's going to be too much white, the black will add some nice contrast down there.

Had some warm weather this week so it was time to paint, ended up going with a 69 color Alpine white. I will leave the frame rails white in the engine compartment and will black out the front of the core support.
I should make more progress this weekend an will post as i go along.

Thanks Valiant69er, i subscribe to your build thread to watch your progress, you are doing something similar to what i want to do down the road.
Tim

Nice work. Is that the front suspension you got from me? What did you do to prep the engine bay for paint?

Thanks for following the build guy's and i will get some updated pics up soon. I just degreased the engine compartment really good and used a combination of surface conditioning discs on a little die grinder and scotch bright pads all from Harbor Freight.Yes Sedanman that is the front suspention i got from you, i'm going to go with the Scarebird front disc setup so i can still run the front 14" wheels with poverty caps.
