7 1/4 is a smaller axle tube, different plates than 8 1/4 and 8 3/4.

all i'm saying is these came off of MY 1972 Demon 318 car with an 8.25 rear end...

yup, if this came from a 8 1/4 it should also fit the 8 3/4 axle

i may be incorrect, i'll double check the rear end that came out tonight.

If you take one of these shock plates, and turn it upside down and try to fit it over the ends of the U bolts sticking out of the bottom of the shock plates holding the 8 3/4 in your Demon.....I bet they will be too small. They look like 7 1/4 u bolts and plates.
