My question which is more correct 1970 340 duster 4 spd radiator fan 3 different ones 1st 4266933 , 2863226 and last not sure first numbers last 3 number such 216.

These are the numbers for the blades not the clutch

4266933 is a clutch 7 blade
2863226 is a non clutch 7 blade
2863216 is a non clutch 4 blade

The 4266933 is the fan I would use but find the correct clutch for it.

Question which is more correct set up 70 340 manual shift car no auto or ac.

Not sure on the numbers, but it would be one WITHOUT the coil spring in the front of it.

I've got 70 & 71 manuals here. I think they may have the numbers noted. I'll check in the am if you still need them.

IIRC the correct application is a clutch fan that ends in 215. The 216 one is slightly wider, about 1/4" and is for a/c I believe. Hopefully this helps.

Here's what I found in my manual for a 1970 340 4spd Dart............

Fan 2863 215.......18 x 2 1/4 pitch torque drive clutch (no thermal spring)
Fan 2863 216.......18 1/2 x 2 1/2 pitch torque drive clutch, if equipped with 3.55, 3.91, or 4.10 rear axle ratios.

That's all I've got.

That's interesting but makes sense. Not just slightly wider but slightly more pitch as well. My friends super bee 383 auto with a/c came with the 216 fan. we thought because of the a/c was the reason for the slightly wider fan. It came equipped with 3.23 open rear .Thanks. Learned something new.

Mine came with factory 3.23 sure grip and right now about get clean up and see what missing and more likely N51 max cooling I check the tag and see.

My '72 318 A/C Dart has a 2863215, I have a 2947 Hayden clutch drive. My '69 340/418 has a 2863 216 and Hayden 2947 clutch drive . Either should work fine, depending on who's radiator you are using, fan clearance can be an issue. Stock radiator on my '72. My '69 has a Cold Case, had to go back to the cast iron water pump, saves 3/4". More correct? They almost look the same.

Some fan blades I have. I see them at swap meets and purchase if reasonable. You should be able to find closer to your area ?? This is what I believe you need.

I believe this is the clutch you need but you're probably better off to purchase a new Hayden clutch as original ones are 50 years old and who knows how good or how long it will last. Good luck on your search
